Pokemon GO
Hello to all of you still playing the amazing game that is Pokemon Go.
I have been thinking about creating a Pokemon Go blog for a while now but with the legendary beasts now released I feel it is time to share my Pokemon Go experiences from the last year as well as updates on how to take down these legendary raids.
This first post will be about Entei raids as I am a European player and have the next month to take down and capture this legendary beast. I have only managed to attempt 3 Entei raids so far but have managed to catch 2. As many of you will have realised 2 out of 3 is a pretty good record. I will be taking on many many more legendary raids this month and attempt to catch as many Entei as possible and hopefully getting one that has 100% IV (1930CP). Below is an IV/CP chart so you can get the IV's of the Entei you have managed to catch for yourself.
Entei as a raid boss has a CP of 38628 and can be found until 30th September in Europe and Africa. He is a pure fire type Pokemon so he is weak against water especially any Pokemon with hydro pump and also ground type but no so much.
How do you take down an Entei raid? Well I have seen people do it with as little as 6 or 7 people but if a few of your raid group are a lower level (under 25) then you will need at least around 10-12 people. Luckily for us a great counter for Entei is Vaporeon, which I am sure nearly everyone has by now. You will want a move set of water gun and hydro pump for maximum damage. Other great counters are; Omastar, Golem, Tyranitar and Gyarados. If you have not got these then any other strong water Pokemon you have will get the job done.
From doing any legendary raid you will know catching the Pokemon is much harder than taking it down. Entei has a base catch rate of just 2% and the maximum this can be increased to with a golden razz berry and an excellent curveball is just 15.73%. However, Entei and the other legendary beasts do seem a lot easier to actually hit with a good throw than any of the legendary birds its just whether he will stay in the ball or not. A good technique is to wait for his to attack then towards the end of the attack start your curveball throw then you will get a guaranteed hit without him dodging or attacking as you throw.
I look forward to the next month of Legendary beast raids and the following two months with new beasts. I will let you know how I get on and any good tips I find for these raids. Good luck everyone! Let me know how you get on in the comments.
